Autumn is a very special season, as it marks the transition from the end of summer to that of winter.
With the trees and leaves acquiring an orange-red color, the light breeze starting to get colder, the change of clothes with more hats and pullovers and fewer t-shirts, and special holidays such as Halloween and thanksgiving, the autumn has a magic all to itself.
It is also true that our mood can lower a little due to gray days and the weather that becomes colder.
Personally, I prefer warm seasons to cold ones, and autumn, even if it’s beautiful, is not the season I’m crazy about, so my mood tends to stay underfoot.
But I found a solution to this problem.
You can experience autumn with all its wonders and always be ready to wake up and start a wonderful day.
All you have to do to brighten your days regardless of the weather is to develop a cozy fall morning routine that can help you in slower mornings.
This means getting up, practicing your morning routine, and being ready to face your day with more productivity and motivation.
If you are looking for tips on how to create a morning routine for the autumn season, which can allow you to enjoy your morning with more relaxation, then you are in the right place.
In this post, I will explain how to start your day with this cozy fall morning routine and turn even the days when you don’t feel like doing anything into something that makes you jump out of bed and ready to start a new day.
Cozy fall morning routine
Below, you will find the routine that you can also adopt during the fall season and that recharges you before the day.
You can practice it every day, especially if you know you have enough time in the morning before you start your day.
But this routine is also suitable for those who start early, you can make some adjustments here and there depending on your schedule or you can remove or add something to your liking, as long as it makes you feel good.

1) Wake up slowly with a sweet ringtone
For me, starting the day right begins straight when we open our eyes after sleeping.
Who would want to wake up to the ringing sound of an annoying alarm clock? The mood would immediately go down.
Waking up slowly to the sound of sweet music is the right kickstart to begin an awesome day.
I have set the melody of the song “Tumhi Dekho Naa” as an alarm clock and I must say that I can wake up better than the sound of a loud alarm.
After turning off the alarm, you can lie in bed for a few minutes and wonder how you spent the night and take a few minutes for yourself.
Starting the day slowly is the perfect way to ensure a good day.
2) Open your windows and get some fresh air
The fresh air in the early morning is not only good for your health but also gives you a wake-up call if you are still asleep.
So as soon as you get out of bed, open the windows and take a deep breath of fresh air.
Airing the bedroom after the night leaves a sense of freshness and erases any desire to go back to sleep, so you can continue with your morning routine.
3) Make your bed
Making the bed is part of my fall morning routine, but that’s not all.
It’s a habit I’ve had since I was in high school, so unless I have a totally relaxing day, I make my bed every morning after I get up.
Making the bed takes away the temptation to go back under the sheets.
And if you keep the room tidier, you also increase your productivity, as you dedicate yourself to other things.
If you still feel sleepy, you can put on some relaxing music and tidy up your room. The atmosphere will be even more relaxing and awesome, and you won’t get bored while cleaning up.
4) Drink a glass of water
Until recently, I didn’t mind drinking water and waited until breakfast before hydrating my body.
But I decided to implement good daily habits that would benefit me
I recently got into the habit of drinking at least one glass of water in the morning on an empty stomach.
After so many hours of sleep, the body absolutely needs fluids.
So as soon as you wake up, grab a glass of water and drink. You will improve your metabolism, fight fatigue, and always have hydrated skin, which will make you beautiful.
5) Stretch your body
Practicing stretching early in the morning, even for just five minutes, is good for the mind and body.
Not only is it good for your health, but it helps you prevent muscle aches and fatigue throughout the day.
Also for this reason you could put some relaxing music in the background if you would like, and practice muscle relaxation exercises or if you prefer, a light workout.
6) Journal and practice gratitude
Every morning, before starting your day, take some time to dedicate yourself mentally to yourself.
Journaling can be a great way to understand your thoughts and feelings. You can think about what went well for you, and what you would like to improve and write your goals and your projects.
By throwing everything down on paper, you clear your mind and are ready to focus more on your day.
Another of the things I love to do, regardless of the season, is to practice gratitude. Be grateful for everything you have and don’t compare yourself to other people’s lives.

7) Take a relaxing shower
For a cozy fall morning routine, you can’t miss the relaxing shower.
The relaxing shower refreshes you and prepares you for the day ahead,
so you can start the day with more energy.
To soak up the fall season, you could use a pine-scented bubble bath. I absolutely love that fragrance and if you never used it before, I recommend you give it a try.
8) Get dressed in a fall outfit
It’s autumn so why not take the opportunity to decide on an autumn outfit?
You could wear something red-orange or brown and green.
Immerse yourself in autumn with warm colors, and soft and comfortable clothes. If you stay at home you could also opt for pajamas, but if you go out, don’t forget to pick a scarf that protects you from the wind.
9) Make your morning drink
It’s time to put something warm in your stomach. You can make your favorite drink.
I am used to drinking hot green tea in the morning, but you can also opt for hot chocolate or coffee or whatever you would like to drink.
Many prefer to have breakfast directly, but I prefer to sip something warm and at the same time practice something relaxing, like listening to music or reading a book.
10) Do a relaxing activity
This is the time to dedicate yourself to your relaxing activity.
It is precisely for this reason that I prepare my cozy drink.
While I sip my tea, I read a chapter of a book and I enjoy the moment in peace, without disturbances.
Or I listen to music and sit in front of the window to look at the landscape.
Practicing activities of this kind free your mind and you are able to face the day more lightly, as you have already had your moment of relaxation and you will not feel overwhelmed during the day.
11) Write or review your to-do list
A part of my fall morning routine involves writing or reviewing my to-do list for the day and making modifications if necessary.
If you haven’t started yet, I highly recommend that you start writing the tasks you need to do. This gives you an overview of your day and you can organize yourself better for more productivity.

12) Go out for a walk
A walk outside in the fresh air in the early morning fills you with energy and is also fantastic, as you walk you find yourself surrounded by so many colors.
I love walking outside, especially on a sunny day. I automatically feel happier and my energy level goes up.
Try including a walk in your fall morning routine, even if it’s just a few minutes, and surround yourself with nature.

13) Make a cozy fall breakfast
After the walk, it’s finally time for breakfast.
I love to eat bread with jam and butter. It fills me with energy and satisfies me until snack time.
A nice idea would also be to bake some cookies or prepare a simple cake.
14) Start your day
After your fall morning routine, you will be more energetic, productive, and motivated.
All you have to do is start your day with all your commitments.
Whether you have to go to work or stay at home, this cozy routine gives you the energy to face your day in the best way.
